Local crime novelists Julie Wassmer and Lisa Cutts join the festival line-up
Get ready for some Mystery in Maidstone with crime writers Julie Wassmer and Lisa Cutts, the latest additions to the festival.
Kent author Julie Wassmer has written for TV dramas for almost 20 years and is the author of The Whitstable Pearl Mysteries following Pearl Nolan, restaurant owner and private detective, as she solves crimes in the coastal town of Whitstable. Now a popular TV series, Whitstable Pearl stars Kerry Godliman as Pearl, Howard Charles as McGuire and Frances Barber as Dolly.
Maidstone's own Lisa Cutts retired from the Kent Police after 25 years and brought her own investigative experience to the page. She has written nine crime fiction novels including Murder at the Gardens, the third in the Belinda Penshurst cosy mystery series set in Kent, and the DC Nina Foster books Remember, Remember and the award-winning Never Forget.
Join Julie and Lisa in conversation with screenwriter, co-presenter of the Bestseller Experiment podcast and author of the Witches of Woodville series, Mark Stay.
