Learn the art of manga with Chie Kutsuwada
Professional manga artist and illustrator of the outstanding Tsunami Girl, Chie Kutsuwada will deliver a beginners' manga workshop at Maidstone LitFest.
Over a 90 minute session, Chie will walk you through a history of manga, exploring the unique nature of the popular Japanese art form. Workshop participants will then have the chance to try manga art for themselves.
Chie has appeared at events such as the London MCM Expo and the annual Y/Con in Paris, France, and regularly runs workshops at libraries, museums and schools around the UK.
Having led workshops at events organised by the UK Japan Society, and tutoring at the Art Academy, London, Chie is no stranger to teaching the basics of the manga style.
